--used for commenting in 2005

  • OK, this might seem silly, but I like being able to comment out a section of code by using the shift/controlkey/C to comment out a chunk at a time.....

My question is, is this feature available in 2005 and if so, how do I turn it on???

    thank you in advance!!

  • Yes, it is available and does not need to be turned on. For whatever reason (I have no idea why), it has been changed to:

    Ctrl-K-C to comment

    Ctrk-K-U to uncomment

  • Well, I can say that I really do like SSMS a lot better than Enterprise Manager. However, some things that we got use to have either been removed - or changed.

One of the best features I have found so far is the ability to change connections. Makes it real easy to synch up procedures on multiple systems.

  • I have to agree with you, that feature is really nice! Now that I can comment/uncomment, I am a happier girl!!

    Thank you!!,
