Use an external Excel sheet as a parameter in SSMS WITHOUT using a stored proecedure

    I don't think i can, but can i use the values in an External Excel file on my desktop as parameter values in SSMS without using a Stored Procedure?  IT people won't allow me the ability to write SPs.

    Just hoping, thanks

    Access can run against SQL Server using linked tables union or passthrough queries. What version of Excel are you using? Check out this, this and this

    Currently I use Excel 2013 . . but can get 2016 . . .

    You could create a model to join data in an excel range to SQL Server tables.
