  Hello,

  I am planning to use the User defined Datatypes in SQL Server 2000. But I came to know that, this will not be supported, if I need to upgrade the to SQL Server 2005. Then, I want to know, can I use the User Defined Datatypes in this situation? Is there any alternative way to use this?

  UDT's are present and supported in SQL server 2005

  however defaults and rules are deprecated (they still work, but you can't edit them or create new ones
