We are planning to upgrade a couple of our servers tomorrow - One of them is showing a version 9.0.1406 . I believe that this was a hotfix that is applied to sp1 for an issue with ssis. Unfortunately we do not have documentation for the upgrades we have done so far.
When I am reading the service pack 2 documentation there is the following:
All publicly issued SQL Server 2005 security bulletins released before January 15, 2007 have been addressed in SP2. If you received a SQL Server 2005 hotfix after January 15, 2007, that hotfix might not be included in this release of SP2. Contact your primary support provider about obtaining the same hotfix for SQL Server 2005 SP2.
Does this pertain to all hotfixes released after January 15, 2007? The hotfix for 1406 was released to public on April 2, 2007. How can I find out if this is included the in the sql service pack 2?
Thank you
KR

HotFixes and Cumulative Updates (to my knowledge) are always rolled up in the service pack releases.

I thought so too. So when the document says that ''If you received a SQL Server 2005 hotfix after January 15, 2007, that hotfix might not be included in this release of SP2'' - what are they referring to?
Is this some special customized hotfix for a customer??
