Urgent! - point in time recovery in a log shipping environment

  I am in a shop with log shipping, and I need to do recovery of the production database. I would like to do point-in-time recovery, but I do not know how doing this will affect the receiving servers.

  Do I need to suspend log shipping? Will the logs figure themselves out?

  I ended up using the standby db to refresh the production database and then sync'ed the 2 databases back together.

  This request is no longer urgent and is solved.
