One of my clients told me that they will be upgrading their existing clustered SQL 7 Server to SQL Server 2000 this week, and Invited me to watch. upgrading Upgrading normal instances of SQL 7 is pretty much just clicking the "NEXT" Button, from what I understand, and I was wondering if anyone had experienced any "oh yeah don't forget to ..." or "gotcha" pointers they would like to pass on when doing it to Clustered servers...
Every day is a learning experience for me.
Thanks!!

I am doing this as well but I'm moving Sql 7 to a clustered Sql 2000 server. My prefered method of upgrading is to create the new server first then move the databases by restoring from the latest backup or detaching/attaching files. This allows us to test the new server prior to switching the applications over. The big issue is getting the users re-aligned with the logins. I also have to move jobs and linked servers. I haven't had any major problems with the upgrade.
