Has anyone attempted to upgrade jobs in sql 2000 to sql 2005? Or should I just recreate them?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Michael,
you can not just re-create, I assume. Jobs are different, some run Maintenance Plans, some run DTS packages. For the miantenance Plan we found out that "Delete Files Older Than .... days" feature to delete old backup and log files is moved to the separate Package Task named Maintenance Cleanup Task. For your SQL jobs see if there is no obsolete statements. I would advise to try on the test server first and see if all features of your jobs are working.

Mike,
I would advice you to use SQL Server Upgrade Advisor. This can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=6107C27A-662C-4319-AFE7-B52D1568C30A&displaylang=en
