  Greetings.

   

  I have a SQL Server 2005 Developer installation that is going so well, and installed on such a killer box, that we would liek to go live with the installation. How can we upgrade the existing machine's license without disturbing teh working environment (I of course mean that we change no configurations or behaviors; I realize the server would have some downtime, reboot, etc....)

  http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143393.aspx has the full list of SQL 2005 Version and Edition Upgrade Scenarios.  Just like in SQL 2000, it's basically an in-place re-install.
