Upgrading DTS packages to SSIS packages

    in our case the Sybase servers are part of a custom application and cannot be upgraded to a later version so we are stuck with this old version

    we have another Sybase installation in another department where it's the latest version and we are currently hunting for 64bit Windows ODBC drivers to connect to them

    I see about the old application. We also had a very old dialer system that was barely able to accept upgrades. On the other newer application you might try Sybase SDK(sofware developers kit) 15.0 WITH THE LATEST upgrades. The initial sdk 15.0 didn't work.

    ASE ODBC Driver by sybase User's Guide for Windows and Linux. We defined the remots servers as linked servers and it works great.

    There may be a data direct solution also but I am not sure.

    Good luck on this, it was a headache.
