Haven't tried that yet. Have you upgraded yet? Any problems?

I just tried - that's how I found this thread 🙂
Failed. It rejects my license key (right off the ss2k8 dev edition box). I've tried upgrading to evaluation but that's not supported. Not sure if it's my issue - I'm running on XP fully patched... love to hear any advice as I'm doing this as a first pass at upgrading production (standard edition) ... not a great start!!

Thanks but I started there before I even downloaded the upgrade advisor - that's just the main upgrade learning launch point. My primary issue is that it doesn't recognize my license or otherwise that R2 developer edition is not for sale (I don't have 'assurance' on my dev license ... if it is needed then they should be selling R2 developer which I can't find).

The license key from SS2K8 shouldn't work. You'd need a new one,

Thanks! Somehow I only checked Amazon and Microsoft's store and didn't find it at either.
