  Hi,

  I been getting myself ready for this by doing some research online and reading this article

  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms191295.aspx

  I'm confused about the last section (titled Next Steps) where it says register your servers:

  "Register your servers

  Upgrade removes registry settings for the previous SQL Server instance. After you upgrade, you must reregister your servers."

  Did they mean register the servers with Microsoft (like a product registration) or did they mean register the server in SSMS? Or am I completely lost? :w00t:

  Any additional personal experience is welcomed. Thanks

  It is SQL server management studio. We need to register SSMS once upgrade is completed.
