  ISSUE:

  I have installed SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition DB Engine and Reporting Services and was trying to upgrade to SQL 2005(only DB Engine). After upgrade I was not able to connect to the instance; it gives me an error "Invalid object name 'sys.endpoints'"(Error 208). i did google for this issue but no luck . My question here is can I uninstall SQL 2005 and install SQL 2005 and restore the databases and then upgrade the Reporting services to 2005.

  Sounds reasonable and should work. Never tried it though :). Try on dev server first.
