Hi,
Sorry for the lame post but could someone tell me the best way to upgrade from SQL Express SP1 to SP2. I can't seem to find where to download just SP2 with out downloading the full install package. Do I need to use that and do a command line install?
Thanks!

Yeah, It's not just the service pack like I would get for Standard or Enterprise editions. That's the full install with sp2. I thought when I ran it, that it would find the instance that was already installed, but it doesn't. I was hoping to avoid uninstalling the existing instance but I don't think I have a choice.

Does anyone have ideas or experience with this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hmm. Microsoft says their independent SP2 upgrade is good for all SQL 2005 except Express (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=D07219B2-1E23-49C8-8F0C-63FA18F26D3A&displaylang=en). There it reads,
Note: To upgrade SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, obtain the SP2 version of Express Edition or Express Edition with Advanced Services.
Express is, after all, a gift horse. 🙂
