Upgrade SQL 2005 before moving system databses on new location ?

    Hi,

    SQL server 2005 (build = 9.00.1406) (RTM + Q932557 = 9.00.1406)

    Is it saffer to upgrade SQL Server 2005 SP2 before moving system databses on new location ? In other words, are there some special difficulties with build = 9.00.1406 to do the job ?

    It always recommended to have the FULL backup of all databases (if size and time permits), especially the system databases. You never know when one runs into some problems.
