Currently my database is sql 2005 and im using ssrs 2005. Now i want to used ssrs 2008, so i think i need to upgrade database to sql 2008 so that i can use ssrs 2008.
so then how do we take care of upgrading from 2005 to 2008 ??
Because existing all the reports and database is in SQL 2005.
Please guide me.

Start with the extensive Microsoft documentation on upgrading: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb500469(v=SQL.100).aspx. I recommend that you use the Upgrade Advisor to help identify any possible issues or incompatibilities.

You can still host the report server databases a SQL 2005 server and use reporting services 2008. From the article below:
Choose the Database Engine instance to use. SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services requires that you use SQL Server 2005 or 2008 to host the report server database. SQL Server 2000 can no longer be used to host the report server database for SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services.
