Hi,
Im having some problems with this, it is the first time im attempting to upgrade to a different edition. The error i keep getting is:
The computer running SQL Server Setup does not meet minimum system requirements for this SQL Server release.Microsoft SQL Server is not supported on this operating system. For details, see Hardware and Software Requirements in the readme or in SQL Server Books Online.

SQL Server 2005 Std to SQL Server 2012 Ent is a valid upgrade path, what is the service pack level of the SQL Server 2005 instance?
This needs to be service pack 4.

Can you upload the setup log from the failed edition upgrade? Also, just to verify, you did select Edition Upgrade from the setup menu, and not a new install, right?

Are you attempting to upgrade to SQL Server Enterprise Edition 64-bit?
