I have to upgrade SQL 2005 dev edition to SQL 2005 Standard on 3 production servers. Do I have to do a complete uninstall of the current dev edition install, or is there something else I can do to do "inline" upgrade to the standard edition?

This says it's possible: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms143393%28v=SQL.90%29.aspx
I believe you run setup and pick upgrade and select your instance. Note that not all features in Dev edition are in Standard. You might have code that doesn't work if you've used those features.

thanks, I'll take a look, I just don't want to uninstall and reinstall everything on the servers. That would be a huge task
