Guys,
Can you please clarify below query?
We have 1 DR/UAT windows cluster where SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition is deployed.
2 SQL instances created for dedicated UAT and DR environment.
We want to upgrade the current DB version to 2012.
So the question is; without impacting current UAT/DR instances, is the upgrade possible?
Can the new version be installed on the same cluster?
Please let me know what options and process we have for upgrade.

You can run multiple instances versions on a cluster node or even a standalone host, as long as the underlying OS supports that version.
In any case, I make an attempt to avoid running multiple instances on a single host whenever possible.
In this case, you could install 2012 and then migrate the databases over or upgrade the individual instance, but both options require downtime.
