Upgrade 2000 to 2008 what collation should I be using

  Hi there everyone,

  our 2000 boxes collation is SQL_Latin1_General_CP437_CI_AS.

  Ideally we would like a nice upgrade without too much problem.. I was wondering if anyone knows if the same collation exists in 2008.. or should I be using a different collation.

  We are happy with the collation on the 2000 boxes at the moment.

  Yes Microsoft generally add new collation seldom remove existing stable collations so check below in the first link for your existing collation and check the second link for more options.
