Hello,
We want to upgrade our SQL Server build from SP3a to Build 929. Does anyone know if I must fist install MS03-031 before I upgrade to build 929?
Thanks

Is there any reason why you want 929 version? I think it should make sense to put ms03-031 first before you put 929 just in case 929 doesn't include that other stuff. Generally unless you are facing with problem you should not put hotfix on a server.

I wouldn't even think of doing the upgrade except we are running SAP and the new Kernel they are installing request we bring SQL up to build 929. The other part is that we also have other servers that are NOT SAP and we're going to have to bring them up so we don't run into unknown problem and issues.
So the suggestion is to:
1. Install MS03-031
2. Install Build 929
thanks

I've always found this site useful as it tell you what you need to bring a release up to a certain build
