We have an account, which has update permissions. But when the account is try to use from the app, we are not seeing any updates happened on the tables even though the user has permissions.

From web application it is executing the SP. The inserts/updates are not working. No error messages to the SQL error log or on app side. It is not related to the connection string issue since selects are working fine. If it is related to the permission issues, the client will receive the error msg stating about the permission. What are the other possibilities?

Are you connecting to the correct database and not a test server ?
