Updates not working on Slowly Changing Dem.

    New inserts works on SCD work but not updates.I have business key set up and seems to be working,on 2nd run, I get no updates or inserts.

    1st pass I get 1249 rows entered,

    2nd pass I still have 1249 rows.

    after update on a row,col (business key) and the rerun It will add 1 new row so I then have 1250.

    but if I update a non key col and run package I get no changes...there for no updates have occurred?

    I am out of ideas ....THANKS

    just FYI for anyone......I added a sort operator and sorted on the Key before it went into the SCD...its to have fixed it.

    My guess was in the backgroup it was doing a hash match join and for some reason it was failing....so I figured it if I sorted the key then the engine would have an easier time joining the table...

    anyhow it seemed to work!
