update statistics failed because of lock time out

    I am using ola.hallengren maitenance solution.

    The update statistics job failed the error messge is Lock request time out period exceeded.

    It tries to UPDATE STATISTICS [SDE].[sde].[SDE_process_information] [process_pk]

    This failed last weekend and this weekend.

    How can I fix this?

    I would start by looking at what other jobs run at the same time.

    Use the sys.dm_exec_requests DMV to see what process is blocking this session (blocking_session-id) and using the sql_handle column of the blocking session you can see the Body of that session
