Update me about UPDATE STATISTICS?

    Hi folks

    What will happen when you execute UPDATE

    STATISTICS?

    pls help me out.

    When you execute an UPDATE STATISTICS statement, SQL Server will look at the values for each index and recalculate the distribution of those values. You typically execute if there is a significant change in values for an index or if there has been a large amount of updates.
