It appears that the information I am returning from sysprocesses is not being written correctly ??
All lastwaittype values are shown as MISCELLANEOUS.
I do have a problem with the sql perfmon counters not working, and if anyone can tell me why this keeps happening ( on a cluster ) I'd be delighted. Is the content of sysprocesses dependent upon the perfmon counters?

We're having the same problem with a server:
2004-10-20 16:09:10.47 server Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 (Intel X86)
Dec 17 2002 14:22:05
Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation
Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 4)
waittime = 0
lastwaittype=MISCELLANEOUS
Limited to one server. Did you resolve your issue?

Hmm it was a long time ago - I think the issue was that the perfmon counters had stopped working after a failover and I hadn't noticed the failover at the time - dunno if that's good or bad < grin >
