After SQL Server 2005 SP3 has been applied, it cannot be removed without uninstalling the entire product.

As per Microsoft documentation is not possible to "uninstall SP3".

After SQL Server 2005 SP3 has been applied, it cannot be removed without uninstalling the entire product

SP3 cannot be uninstalled. If required to do so, entire SQL Server has to be uninstalled and reinstalled.

Yes you can. It's nice that there is finally an uninstall option for service packs.
