Unkonwn Error

    Hi,

     

    I am trying to open a table in EM by right mouse and return all rows. Then I get "Unknown error". Whats wrong with it?

    Any hints I can work around.

    Though I can run query by SQL Query Analyzer and it returns data.

    Sounds like a EM specific problem. I would try closing and reopening Enterprise Manager. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling Enterprise Manager.

    Also, you might want to check your MDAC level. Microsoft has a tool called Component Checker that will tell you what version you have. The latest is MDAC 2.8 something.

    Lastly, what SQL Server version and edition do you have? (ie SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition SP3a).
