uninstall sqlserver client network utility

  • I un-installed sqlserver 2000 on a test server using Add/Remote programs. The uninstall completed but I stll have SQLSERVEER in the programs menu with Client Network Utility.

I wanted to install SQLSERVER2005 Reporting services on this box. There appears to be no option to uninstall the client network utility.

Will this create a problem ?? for RS2005

    Wanted to start clean also.

    Thanks,

  • Try by executing the exe from which you have installed the SQL Server 2000,In that select upgrade/remove and in that select the client network utility.

  • SQL Server client network utility comes with the windows package and not with SQL Server one. Even if you have no SQL Server server/client installed in a machine you can use the client network utility by accessing them from run prompt as cliconfg.exe.
