Because of deadline, i had to uninstall the sql server 2005 sp2 (default instance)
and sqlserver 2005(named instance) very quickly so i think i made some mistake.
i followed the process mentioned on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909967
I got the error "The setup has encountered an unexpected error in datastore..."
when trying to
"start /wait msiexec /x {GUID} /l*v c:\sql_uninstall.log" command on the command prompt.

Can you please specify the sql server edition. Also, the complete error message.

Can you try to completely uninstall using the windows installer clean up tool as shown here,

Then i got error 1603 message while installing sql server again the i follow the instruction from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916760
it works now...i was able to install thanks to all.
