Unexpected disk I/O error

  I'm trying to import a large (140 GB) text file from Server A into a table in a database on Server B using SSIS, and it keeps failing with "An unexpected disk I/O error occurred when reading the file". I can't find anything in any of the system logs on the servers in question. Has anyone else run into this, or does anyone know what might be happening?

  This is typically a disk error meaning the file can't be read. Can you copy the file over? It would eliminate network issues.

  Unfortunately, I cannot copy it over (space constraints)...I think I'll try importing it into a table on the source server and dealing with it in smaller chunks....
