I have loads of SQL Servers to patch (2008R2,2012,2014,2016,2017 Express)
How do I create Unattended CU Updates packages. I have downloaded them all, but because of the number of Servers involved, I wanted to set the Update off and let it run. But im not sure how to go about doing this.
The video ive seen, you go through the installation routine (not Update/patch) and you end up with a Configuration File but when I tried this with the Update to My SQL Server 2017 Express I didnt get a Config file.
Please, any help would be appreciated

In addition to using the command line, batch file route, Another option would be using Powershell. DBAtools has a function for installing service packs and CUs that you may want to look into:
