A developer came to me with the following problem; he installed SSRS 2008 on his machine, but when he opens up the SSRS project in BIDS, he cannot view the reports in the report designer.
Also in the Help --> About Microsoft Visual Studio menu in BIDS, SQL Server Reporting Services is not listed among the Installed products.
I know for a fact that SSRS 2008 is installed on his machine.
What could be the issue?

Problem solved; we had to upgrade SSRS to SQL 2008 SP1; there was a version incompatibility with the other SQL components installed on the user's machine (SP1 was already installed on everything else).
