I had reinstalled SQL Server 2000, and it created a "quasi second instance" and renamed the database file name by placing a double name (example: rad/rad2). The SQL Server is not able to locate the database files, now. Accordingly, I performed a third instllation to see what would happen. Nothing was corrected.
The system is now denying me the ability to uninstall. I get a pop-up menu that says: "unable to locate log file ... uninst.isue. Uninstallation will not continue." Of course, I am also not able to access the database files because SQL Server changed the domain name ("rad/rad2") (the actual name is just "rad"). Strage! Any suggestion on resolving the problem would be appreciated.

I had a few problems with SQL Server 2000, so I reinstalled it, and ironically, the reinstall created more problems. So my initial thought was to uninstall SQL Server 2000 totally, and resinstall SQL Server 2000, and hopefully that would remove the problems. So I want to uninstall and then reinstall SQL Server 2000. If you ahve any other suggestions on my procedure to correct the problems, then I will proceed with your suggestions.
