Hello,
I have a test system that needs to be backed up nightly so the developer has a starting point if something goes wrong. The problem I'm having is one of the databases he's working with is missing from the Back Up Database Task window. I have no problem viewing this database which would lead me to think this is a permissions or setting issue, no?
These databases came from SQL 2005 systems and were restored to a SQL 2005 system (all win 2003 servers).
I can however run a manual backup successfully if I right click on the database in question and select Backup.

Not knowing how your backups are configured or running, it's hard to say. But it sounds like whatever process is running the backups either doesn't have that database included, or, the context the process is running under can't see that database. Those are the first things I'd check.
