hi all ,
i have written a store procedure as follows
--procedure name usp_get_date
--Author Ramu
--Script Date 12/09/2009
create procedure usp_getdate
as
begin
select getdate();
end
few back i was able to see my comments written create statement. but now i cant find them what be the reason behind it.

how about putting the comments inside the storedproc instead of outside of it?

ya i have did that. but its strange that i cant see the comments as wanted earlier.
if use 2005 SSMS to modify the sp i cant the comments. where as if use 2008 ssms i can see comments its very strange

I wouldn't expect comments outside of a proc to show up. I might run a lot of stuff in a window, and wouldn't necessarily want other items in a batch to be compiled to the stored proc.
