Unable to open Transform Data task that I built!

    I regularly create DTS packages on our SQLServer 2000 box located in another State. Usually, I have no problem creating and modifying packages (using Enterprise Manager), but occassionally it gets hung when I try to look at the properties for a Transform Data task (that I have previously built!). I've talked to the SA for the Server and he doesn't know why it's happening, although he said he has run into it before. Anyone out there had a similar experience? How did you solve it?

    I get that only when I try and look at the transforms from my own box, through EM. If I log onto the server itself, the transforms never hang for me. Disconnected Edit seems to work fine no matter where I edit from, so if I can't log into the server for some reason, I go that route.

    Thanks! I'm not familar with disconnected edit. I'll do a search, or is it something only known to gur's

    Just want to close this by saying that Disconnected Edit worked great! Thanks so much for the tip!!!!!
