Hi Folks
I am having trouble getting started on installing SQL Server 2008 on a Windows 2008 server. It keeps tellimg me:
"Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Installation has failed
SQL Server 2008 Setup requires .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed"
When i know for a fact that it is installed, so I don't get it
Anyone ever have this issue ?
I am stuck, so any guidance would be really appreciated
Thanks
Jim

Have you tried reinstalling the 3.5 framework? Something may not have updated correctly when it was previously installed.
I'd recommend looking for the install logs first and check that everything worked as it should.

NetFramework 3.5 is installed

checked registry
checked C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET folder
I still don't get it
there is no log on the sql servere 2008 install failure, just that stupid msg about NetFramework 3.5
Stumped !
