    unable to Import data from an Excel file into a database. Are there change needs to be made to the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2005 software in order for that functionality to occur error-free

    I have had issues with that as well. I find it is easier to write a quick SSIS package.

    What problems are you having with it?

    I've imported hundreds of Excel files. Different ones have different problems for different reasons. Can't really tell you what to do without something more specific.
