Iam trying to fire a backup(full) of my sqlserver database.the backup tool iam using is legato networker.Iam
getting the following error
Thread creation failed. Running BACKUP/RESTORE cleanup.
BACKUP failed to complete the command BACKUP database [msdb] TO virtual_device='Legato#6af120ec-4e85-4bbd-938c-0c1647e67d80' WITH name='LegatoNWMSQL'
Please help me what do i do!!! any ideas

Better call up Legato support. This is not a native sql server error.

Are you using Legato's SQL Server agent or just the Networker client? Networker alone won't be able to backup the SQL Server files as it can't handle the open files. The agent if installed properly should work and we use it here. A word of advice here though: I don't completely trust any agent tools and only use this as part of a redundant recovery plan. Run your SQL native (disk) backups first, then run Networker and the SQL Agent backups.
If you still can't get it going, your best bet is to speak with Legato or get access to their website KB (you need an account for this). Best of luck.
