  IAM UNABLE TO DROP A TABLE IN SQL SERVER 2000.

  DROP TABLE TABLE1,

  I WAITED FOR ONE HOUR NO RESPONSE,THIS COMMAND IS GOING INTO SLEEP MODE.I KILLED THAT SLEEP MODE AND TRIED AGAIN NO LUCK

  IN THIS TABLE DATA IS NOT THERE.PLEASE SUGGEST HOW TO DROP THIS TABLE .

  Can you select from the table - if a select times out it is likely there is a lock or openn transaction on there table.
