Unable to connect to the server

  • This is a problem that has bothered us for the last few months, but we've managed to work around it. Now, I've got a little time on my hands and want to re-address this issue.

    Whenever we attempt to go to the Report Manager on server that has SQL Server 2005 on it, I get the following error message in the web browser page:

    "Error

    Unable to conenct to the remote server"

    And that's all it says. Not very useful.

    When I look at the event log on that server, I don't see anything related to SSRS for the given time.

    What's wrong, and what can I do to get it working again?

    Well, it seems to be a permission issue to me.

    Did u try checking and assigning permissions to Everyone on Reporting Services Server?? Please check it once.

    Do you mean the folder where Reporting Services is saved?
