C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.3\Reporting Services\ReportServer
I meant to say-- "ReportServer" dir is in in MSSQL.3 but not in MSSQL.4.
In the report services configuration manager- all green.
in the browser- I enter- https://personal/reportserver and there is no response.
question 2)my computer name is : personal and my loging to computer- manoj.
when I connect to SSMS- I see that "PERSONAL\SQL2005 (SQL Server 9.0.4053 - personal\manoj"
because of this string - personal\manoj--- I am not sure what to enter in browser for report services--- should it be
https:/personal/ReportServer$SQL2005 or https:/manoj/ReportServer$SQL2005
please help.
and also-- if someone is able to do it.... let me know these details:
what is your server name displays?
In the report Services configuration manager- for Report server virtual directory- what is the name field has?
in the browser - what do you enter to access reports?

Try http://personal:8080/reportserver
It will take couple of minutes to load the page. So have patience.
Make sure that Reporting Services is running.
Check the Reporting Services Configuration Manager. It clearly shows the URL under Web Service URL.

personal is my computer name.
in the report services configuration manager- reports server virtual directory-- reportserver$sql2005
so, as per your suggestion --- in url--- entered -- http://personal:8080/reportserver$sql2005
--- nothing happened-- message displayed "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
