Hi,
I am unable to connect to sql server 2008 for my local system.However, i can use SQL SERVER 2008 to connect to connect to different instances except the local instance.
Any help will be appreciated.

is the service for your local instance running?

The service does not work for local instance .i gave IP address\sqlexpress in server name and used window authentication.Is there something else I need to use?
