hi,
i have managed to create an odbc connection from sql serverto access.i am able to view all the tables and views according to the permissions i have set.but i am unable to add or update any records from the access side while i am able to do the same thing on the sql server using the same account.what is the problem?

Forgive me if I am a touch rusty on the Access side of things, but from memory Access opens a read only connection into SQL Server so you wont be able to make or saver any changes in your SQL Server DB via access.

hi,
i managed to do it.now i can update my recors from the access side using odbc connection.the problem was that unless u specify a primary key u cannot update the records in access.thanx anyway
