There are lots of caves and canyons in the northern Nevada desert making it easy to get lost on purpose...

A friend of mine knew a tech who had one of those Motorola mega two-way pagers. When he got home on Friday, he threw it in the freezer. If anyone tried to message him, the message seemed to go through, but the unit threw an error. He'd go in Monday, and if someone complained, he could show that the unit didn't receive it properly.
We just got back last night from Phoenix. We got to my parent's at 10pm Thursday, at midnight the power went out and was out for 36 hours (75-100 MPH winds, depending on whether you ask the weather service or the airport). My wife was whining that she couldn't check her email or play Warcraft.
Poor baby. 😀

Main reason I never got into the DBA Business. Be a "reports" specialist doesn't usually pay as well; but mostly my time is my time.
On one gig when I got hit with production support, it only got bad when the group dwindled from 6 to 2.
