Hello,
I am trying to install sql server on a machine. But after installing sql server service after all the things have been installed I go see in the start menu I see only configuration tools. But I cannot see the management studio. I did install Database services.
What might be causing this?
Actuall I am trying to configure a physical private network b/w 2 PCs(Running Win7) with a ethernet cable . I am doing so to test log shipping and mirroring across N/Ws and to test remote connectivity of sql server. One one machine I do have a complete intallation. I installed sql server on the other then I am not able to see management studio on the other.
I opened the configuration manager and looked at the services.
It shows the sql server service for the default instance (MSSQLSERVER) is running.
Why am I not able to see the managment studio on the other box?
Any Ideas?

Looks to me like you did not install the client tools. You should be able to rerun setup and install the client tools.
