Hey folks!
I am currently working on testing the possibilities of some tools for migrating data of an oracle database to sql server database.
Therefore in our company we have a sql server 2000. I now want to try to migrate data to sql server 2005, but i only have one server machine for testing.
So therefor my question, is it possible to install on one server machine both sql server versions, 2000 and 2005 or are there any conflicts?
Thanks for any help.
Best regards,
Stefan.

Hi,
Yes. SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 can be installed on a single machine.

I have 2005 and 2008 both running on my desktop machine right now. Just as different instances.
