I came upon a customer's system (two servers pub & sub) who had replication rebuilt several times several months ago, and it looks like a hiccup of some kind occurred back then - they have two sets of replication triggers and views on the primary server, and the backup server has the same two sets of triggers but no views for the second set. They had a failover exposing the problem only now on the backup server.
So question 1: what is the behavior of having two sets of repl triggers? Is it just sending the transactions 2x between servers? Are there any repercussions? They aren't experiencing any replication conflicts.
And question 2: how to properly identify which is the valid set of triggers and views?
As a quick fix I'm going to be bringing over the views from the primary so the backup isn't piecemeal and can function, but ideally I'd like to identify the "dummy" set and clear it out altogether if it won't incur any downtime for the system.
