TSQL vs SQL Reporting Services

    Was the Reporting Services included in SQL 2000 an attempt to make report writing easier? I am interested in firing up reporting services on my 2005 SQL Server but I'm wondering if it's worth while? Is it more flexible the TSQL? Anyone using it? Currently, we use a "Crystal Reports" knock off to create our reports and it sucks, just not very flexible, just a fancy GUI TSQL...
