Trying to use the TSQL debugger in Query Analyzer on a workstation on the local LAN.
Environment: SQL 2000 under W2K Server and the WS is XP/Pro
If I log into the server under my user account, the TSQL Debugger works properly. However if I attempt to run the debugger from my workstation, same user account I cannot step through the stored procedure. The sproc executes to completion, but none of the Step ... buttons are enabled and break points, while they can be set - are never triggered. The sproc executes, I simply cannot step through it.
No error messages and no event log entries on the ws or server.
I've checked BOL - check the dcom settings on the server, searched google etc to no avail.
Suggestions?

Yes - single domain and the account I am testing with has Domain Admin priv.

Thanks, but as I mentioned I have verified the dcom settings and am not getting any DCOM errors.

How about the MDAC version? Both 2.8?

Both using 2.7 - however, this would appear more DCOM related - in that it works properly when run on the server, just not locally. The lack of any DCOM errors however is a little surprising.
